Welcome!
In the Aliceville Elementary School Media Center, children engage in lessons that build their library skills, enhance their knowledge through research, develop Digital Citizenship, create through Makerspace, and develop their Engineer Design skills through STEM. Students have access to literature that build their knowledge base and interest. Students are celebrated through Accelerated Reader Celebrations when they accomplish their goals each Nine Weeks.
Shannon Moore, Library Media Specialist
Meet the Library Media Specialist
Ms. Moore has been the Library Media Specialist at Aliceville Elementary School for 6 years. Before becoming the Library Media Specialist, Ms. Moore was a Kindergarten teacher. She is a graduate of Alabama State University and the University of West Alabama. She earned Bachelor's of Science, Master of Education, and Educational Specialist Degrees in Early Childhood Education from Alabama State University. She earned a Master of Education in Library Media from the University of West Alabama. Ms. Moore is a member of the Alabama School Library Association. She enjoys attending library professional development to develop her knowledge as a Library Media Specialist to continuously better serve the students of Aliceville Elementary School.
Circulation Policy
- Kindergarten students check out one book at a time and must keep books at school in their classroom.
- First-third grade students check out one book at a time and can take the book home at the teacher's discretion.
- Fourth-sixth grade students check out two books at a time and can take the book home.
- Books are checked out for one week at a time.
- No late fees are assessed. However, students must return books to get new books.
- Replacement and damage charges are enforced when necessary.
- All items should be returned to the circulation desk.
